I love a good story, and a mystery, and The Scoop is both.
Author Barbara Foster has managed to satisfy this reader's expectations on many levels. Just when you think you know who the bad guys are, nope, she cleverly sends you off in another direction, only to have you scratching your head later and asking yourself how you missed that. By the time I got to the last page, I was exhausted, in a good way, and my brain got its well deserved rest.
Ms Foster has also managed to intertwine two love stories, which filled me with much anticipation, and she did it without having to add the gratuitous sex scenes as filler, which can distract you and divert you from the main story, and that was quite refreshing.
All I can add, if Agatha Christie was still around and writing books, she'd have to look over her shoulder, because Ms Foster would be giving her a run for the money. __________________ ~GG~
